![]() ![]() Some sites have an automatic intermediary page that lets them know when they first click on a forum link that it might be dangerous.Visitors could still follow that link if they wanted to, but makes it *very* clear the link is suspect. For example, in one thread from last month, I renamed the link with "999" placed in the middle. A little more direct route: is modifying the link with something a visitor (if they are inclined) can remove and still download.Just edit the post with a moderator note about exercising caution.Possible ways to do this without censoring anyone: Part of the reason I'm such a frequent poster here now is in the early stages I was given a lot of rope so this should be done carefully. ![]() That said, its important we don't step on anyone just starting out. Links by users with 3 or fewer posts should always be suspect. ![]() I think your caution is warranted based on the existence of 0-day viruses that might not show up in a virus scanner.
